Trigger Typen
TCP/UDP/Serial
The data of the 3 Triggers are interpreted as free texts. It can be differentiated as to whether the text should match completely or just in parts
The TCP Connector sets off when exactly this text comes in. The UDP Connector set off when the text gets recognized somewhere in the incoming data stream. A Serial Connector sets off at every text.
ArtNet
The activation parameters are Universum, Subnet, DMX-Channel and DMX-Value. Via the Wildcard-System the Universum and the Subnet can be ignored and it can be listened to the DMX-Values only. In addition to that the mode has to be set:
LTP (N): Latest Takes Precedence (New) - the incoming value only gets accepted when it deviates from the value that has been recognized earlier.
LTP: Latest Takes Precedence - the incoming value is always accepted.
HTP: Highest Takes Precedence - the incoming value only gets accepted when it is higher than its predecessor.
ATTENTION! Many ArtNet control desks permanently send their current ArtNet settings in rapid succession, which might cause an unintended multiple execution of an ArtNet-Trigger. In this case the UNIVERSE-own LTP (N) should be used in order to react only on data set changes but not on repetitions.
MIDI
The activation parameters are Data-Type, MIDI-Channel, Data1 and Data2. All data always gets transmitted. Therefore it has to be determined from device to device if Data1 or Data2 is relevant for the evaluation.
The Button sets off when on MIDI-channel 0 any note from the maximum value (127) is activated.
OSC
The OSC-address, as well as all incoming parameters, are put together and are getting evaluated.
The colours of the Button change when the OSC-address /foo/bar arrives with the parameters Hello and 123.
Satellite Control
A Satellite Control sends data via the target computer on which it is installed. It has to be differentiated between numerical data and text based data. Numerical data can be compared so that when, for example, the proportional CPU-capacity is exceeded, a Text can be written into a Label. If for the data types Process Added and Process Lost no expected parameter is defined then the Trigger will be activated every time there is a change in the process list. This is not recommended because the operating system also starts and ends its own processes and the Trigger could be set off uncontrolledly.
For the corresponding data to be transferred it has to be freigegeben in the Satellite Control.
ATTENTION: Not all mainboards and/or graphic cards are sending back information on temperature and memory usage.

Satellite Power Point (PPT)
If a slide is used during a presentation then the number of this slide will be transmitted to UNIVERSE. This way, Triggers at specific points in a Power Point presentation can be set off.
Watchout
Triggers for Watchout can react to timecodes and transport changes of individual timelines as well as to changes to the Watchout-Show. Timecodes can also be interpreted arithmetically. So, it is also possible to subtract the timecode from another time value in order to simulate a countdown for the chosen timeline.
The settings for the parameters of the type Show are set as follows:
Show Running |
The show has started or ended |
Busy |
The Watchout-System is busy |
Show Status |
The status of the show has changed |
Display Open |
The status of the Modus Display has changed |
Show Active |
The status of the show is active |
Programmer Online |
The status of the programmer has changed |
Current Time |
Current runtime of the show |
Show Running |
The show is running or was stopped |
ATTENTION: All parameters only get evaluated when there is a status change in the Watchout-System. If a Trigger is waiting for a timeline to assume that the transport status is PLAY, but it is already running at the start time of the UNIVERSE-Project, then the Trigger will only react when the timeline stops and starts again.
Pandoras Box
The following information can be evaluated: Timecode of a sequence, time until next cue, remaining time of a clip and the transport status of a timeline.
