An activated software license can be transferred to a hardware-dongle. With such an activated dongle UNIVERSE can be used without any restrictions on any Windows compatible PC, also in offline mode. Furthermore, it is possible to protect a license before the transfer from computer to dongle. This is useful, for example, if the dongle is rented out or the license on the local system should not be moved.


A dongle licence can be transferred to a local system.


To protect a license, the protect-status must be queried. This happens automatically when you try to transfer a license, or by fetching it manually. Then, the protection with a password can be enabled or disabled. If protection is activated, the license can no longer be moved between the dongle and the system. If the license is on the local system, it can be still be removed and reactivated on another computer.
