I -Start VLC Player and go to Tools-> Preferences





II - switch to "Show all Settings" (1) and in the section "Interface" select the subsection "Main Interfaces" (2), activate “Remote Control Interface”(3)







III - unfold "Main Interface", select "RC" (1), activate "Do not open a DOS command box interface" (2), enter the IP of the computer on which VLC is running (3) and specify a port for the connection (the default port in UNIVERSE is 4647, but it can also be any other port)
